i' R.H. Cornish hosted the girls' Durham Central Gymnastics Meet on Wednesday, and local schools placed well. All 18 gymnasts from R.H. Cornish Public School placed in the top six in their events and 1.7 of the 18 will advance to the Durham Final to be held at Wil- liam Dunbar Public School on Thursday April 26. Cornish captured 11 firsts, 11 seconds, eight thirds, seven fourths, three fifths, and four sixths. An excellent reward for the dedication and effort put forth by these girls. Laura Hooker placed sec- ond on floor, sixth on beam, and fourth on vault. On Thursday the Durham Elementary Public Schools Gymnastics Final Meet for boys was held at Cornish. Results for S.A.
