Totten Sims Hubicki Associates has been retained by the Region of Durham to conduct a study on the Sanitary Sewers in the Township of Uxbridge. The smoke testing is being done by Totten Sims Hubicki Associates, and CAMSPEC sewer services. A special non-toxic SMOKE will be blown into the sanitary sewers to detect locations where storm water is entering the sanitary sewer system. The SMOKE is manufactured for this purpose, leaves no residuals or stains and has no effect on plant or animal life. The SMOKE will not enter your home unless a leak is present. Any presence of SMOKE in your home should be reported to the people conducting the tests on the street, or by contacting Totten Sims Hubicki Associates at the number indicated below. Players love their tennis It's that time of year again, to don our tennis shoes, grab the faithful racquet and head on down to the courts to enjoy some good exercise and fun during our blissful spring weather! The Port Perry Tennis Club is holding it's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, May 8'th at the Masonic Hall. This is your opportunity to obtain a membership, get information on upcoming tournaments and sign up for league play and/or lessons. If you are unable to make it to the AGM then you can sign up at the courts May 9'th or 10'th, 6-8 p.m. The Club is insisting that if you wish to sign up for lessons then do so in person only, not by mail. Wear your fluorescent clothes - the wilder the better - it may throw your opponent off. The Club has even waived an entry fee to make it all the more fun. One more thing the club needs is used tennis balls to be used in our lessons. If you have any of these balls rolling around the house then give Jay Neill a call, 728-7653.
