The 8th Annual Crownlife PAR- TICIPaction Challenge will be sweeping the nation on Wednes- day, May 30, 1990. This is a one day friendly rivalry between com- munities to determine which can motivate the greater number of activity. Although no one gets fit in just 1 day of activity, for many it provides that first step on the road to healthy, active living. ON May 30th, Scugog Township will take part in promoting fitness by accepting the challenge of Ux- its citizens to take part in 15 minutes of any type of physical bridge Township as to which com- munity is the fittest. Last week the official mascot for PAR- TICIPaction Day was unveiled at the Latcham Centre and the Scugog Swamp Thing, '"'Swam- py," is on the look-out for the '""out-of-shape" Phantom of 3 years ago. The organizers are encouraging everyone to take the initiative and join us in a salute to "active liv- ing" in Scugog Township. On May 30th simply do 15 minutes of any type of Fitness activity (walk, run, garden, roller skate, exer- cise, bowl, etc.) and phone Healthy Aging What does "healthy aging" mean to you? Many other activities are planned and hopefully all the community will get involved in this salute to Fitness in Scugog Township.
