The business is just a week old, but the word is getting out about Ernie Barrett's "Vette Works" located on King Street in Prince Albert. He said he located his busi- ness in this area because he wants to corner the market and cater to Eastern Ontario. Mr. Barrett, a self- proclaimed Corvette lover since the age of 14, said there is over 20 years of Corvette experience working in his shop. Vette Works has used, recon- ditioned, reproductioned, parts and accessories. The company also does body work, painting, custom work, light mechanical work, interior work, tune-ups, and oil changes, as well as some collision work, restoration, and insurance work. 2 work done on a car in this shopis guaranteed, Mr. Barrett sai "We care for eveything per- taining to a Corvette, and I stand behind any work that I do," he added. Mr. Barrett added that with the experience he has working with Corvettes, he knows a lot about the vehicle. Myrtle news Pie and art sale June 30 by Sonja Graham Just a reminder for those of you who will be around for the long weekend, don't forget the Myrtle United Church Pie and Art Sale. It will be on Saturday, June 30 beginning at 10 a.m. Coffee, tea and a piece of our famous Myrtle homemade pie will be served. There will also be an opportunity to take home a whole pie. Many of us were saddened by the news of the recent passing of Maudie Graham. The previous proprieter of the Balsam General Store for 34 years, was well known and loved by many people in the area. After selling the store to the Jones', she retired to the town of Port Perry. Sympathy is extended to her six children, Bill, Dorothy Gibson, Joan Fleming, Diane Parliament, Debra Costa, Linda Dignam and their families. She leaves behind 19 grand- children and 12 great- grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. oe LOOK FORWARD TO A 7 uct SEASON OF SUMMER From only $42.14 ~-- COMFORT -- per month* Central Air Conditioners On pay until September/90 -- interest FREE. 7777] / F r t or Ne I 7777] Based on 9.75% financing.
