Community Church Caesarea A fine service in the friendly Caesarea Church on Sunday, June 24, 11 a.m. with an average congregation. Rev. Timothy E. Godfrey of Uxbridge was in charge of the service. His theme, "Being a True Deciple of Jesus Christ" (quote from the sermon) If anyone would come after me; he must deny himself and take up his Cross and follow me) It is not an easy task to be a Deciple - a true Deciple is one who is unselfish, sacrificing and submissive! Mrs. Godfrey sang a lovely solo. Bill Telep played for the choruses and Kathleen Watts for the hymns. Next Sunday, July 1st, the guest speaker will be Rev. Godfrey's father-in-law, of Toronto. Nestleton Presbyterian Church Holy Communion was dispensed by Rev. Wm. Fairley at the Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 24th, two elders, Dorothy Lee, and George Scott assisted the minister. Joyce Taylor was the capable organist. Psalm 91 was read responsive- ly and Scripture readings were from Genesis 28:10-17 and Mat- thew 10:24-33. The sermon - When we come to the Lord's Table we do so with a sense of guilty, forgiveness, turmoil yet peace of mind. We receive the Living Presence of our Lord in faith as we participate in the mystery of His love. We know divine love is freely given to us as we share it with others in our daily life. No church services during July. Nestleton United Church On a cool, cloudy Sunday at Nestleton United, the greeters were Lawrence & Gwen Malcolm, with a good attendance out for the Service. In the choir the quartet compos- ed of Janice MacKenzie, Kay Not- man. Regenia Walker and Kathy Tromans sang '"'Over the Sunset Mountains" with Gwen at the organ. The children's theme was a story about being afraid, when we are alone, and can't cope. It is wise to talk to God when this hap- pens. The sermon message by Rev. Dale Davis was timely; fear of a country break up; in the Jacob text there is a message; that the past is past; be sensitive and look to the future. God will stand with us if we have faith. Scripture from Genesis & Mat- thew with reader Claire Notman. During the offering an organ and flute instrumental was en- joyed, with Carla Davis playing the flute, and Gwen the accom- paniment on the organ. Glenn & Denise Yellowlees rec'd the offer- ing.
