Scugog Shores Museum host- ed a Pioneer Day Camp last week. The program gave the children an opportunity to sam- ple games, crafts, cooking and activities of Pioneer and Victo- rian times. The fee for the program was $25 which covered the cost of material and food for the week. This year there were nine children at the Day Camp aged four to ten. The children baked tea bi- cuits, oatmeal, and ginger- bread cookies, learned spin- ning, candle dipping, and dyed their own wool, as well as learn- ing a few old fashioned games such as jack straws, and carpet bowling.
