Over 500 anglers competed in the entire OV Pro Bass Series, through out the summer. Each of these events limits its field to 150 two man teams that compete with hopes of gaining valuable points towards qualifying for the OV Pro Bass "Classic." As in past years the top forty anglers from the series are in- vited to compete in the $100,000 OV Pro Bass "Classic." The ob- ject of the competing anglers, is to catch a maximum of six live bass per day. The highest ac- cumulated weight over the three days, wins. The fish are weighed in live during elaborate weigh-in shows at the end of the tourna- ment day and once the weights are recorded, the bass are then released, through the assistance of the Shimano 'Live Release" Boat, a specially constructed pon- toon boat with a fully aerated 600 gallon holding tank.
