Our hero "Curley" and his gal "Laurey" are played by familiar locals Walter Bone and Barbara Taylor-Bone. The coveted Premier Breeder banner was captured by Cherown Holsteins, Paris, ON. "North of the border animals" contributed greatly to the achievement of the Premier Exhibitor banner won by Pamtom Farm, Hudson Falls, NY. Receiving another prestigious award was the cow, C. Langevin Anthony Bamboo, owned by W.J. Proud, Oakville, ON. She was declared the female best exempli- fying both type and production -- highest placer with most milk: The Best. He said the Association is disappointed with the lack of concrete answers, especially in light of past NDP traditions of support for mass transit. One of the Passenger Asso- ciation members who spent a frustrating day attempting to contact Minister Philips, even- tually phoned him at home in the evening and got a chilly re- ception. But Pagnuelo said the Pas- senger Association is prepared to lobby the NDP government just as vigorously as it lobbied the Liberals and the federal Conservatives to get commuter rail service between Toronto thusiastic chorus ensures the whole family will enjoy this fun show. "We don't care what the cars look like as long they work," he said. The Association had hoped { that the start-up could come as i early as this year. But Pagnuelo said that's an impossibility now, and he is not : optimistic that commuters will ° see a train on the tracks next year, either.
