Scugog Shores Fibre Artists and Friends Show and Sale Oct. 20,21 The Scugog Shores Fibre Ar- tists are a group of spinners and weavers who have been a guild since 1983. The members are ac- tive individually in creating hand- spun and handwoven articles, teaching and taking courses. The members meet monthly at the Scugog Shores Museum, Port Perry which they call home. They volunteer for school tours and scheduled museum events. The weavers and spinners have had an annual studio tour for the past five years. This year it was decided to invite artisans from the area to join them in the show and sale. Marilyn Wallace combines an art background with an interest in fashion and a love of colour to create exciting handpainted - original designs on silk. She is best known for her scarves of cats and flowers and has recently add- ed a line of men's ties. Barry Page is a wood turner who uses local woods such as maple, walnut, apple and beech to shape many articles including vases, bowls and cutting boards.
