The issue of new recrea- tional facilities at Scugog Cen- tre (second ice pad, swimming pool, banquet hall) is tied to the need to re-organize the recrea- tion departments, said Mrs. Pearce. She said the study, if ap- proved by council, will also look at the strategic planning for new facilities at the Scugog g rec dept. Centre. She said a re-organization of the department would not take over the traditional roles of volunteers organizations, but would assist them in delivering recreation services to the com- munity. As for new facilities at Scu- gog Centre, Mrs. Pearce said Monday she would like to see a start on construction before 1995. She suggested that the Township should be making ap- plications for grant money in 1992.
