"A Family Tradition for 125 Years" PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, July 23, 1991 - 17 Things are Shaping up for the Caesarea Regatta RRR RRNA RRS a =i Nestleton, Caesarea. ds Mebel cower A few thoughts: Sam & Mabel Cawker of Nestleton, have been on a pink cloud recently; with all the amazing friends neighbors and relatives around to help us celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary, July 7,1991 in style! Now the festivities are over, and we are gradually coming back to earth once again; relaxing in our country landscape of unspoiled meadows, and quiet atmosphere, beginning our 61st year! We are watching with interest the growth in our abundant garden; the menace of the hordes of potato bugs - very bad this year; the variety of wildlife - colourful birds, raccoons, the odd deer, black squirrels, a crane that stands "still as still" in the hopes of catching a fish in the pond, lots of ducks, even -- ones swimming about, ildeer, a pretty bird with a mournful cry looking after the young, and of course the cattle pasturing in the field; a pleasant way of living. But we don't leave behind the pleasures of town life with its beauty - innovative restaurants and fine shopping areas that serve us well! We will endeavor to make the coming year a satisfying and rewarding one - a help to our fine community by personal involvement! Anniversaries certainly are for reminiscing, but we have to take a forward look! God Bless! Nestleton United Church Nestleton United Service was held in the basement due to it being cooler.
