Later, when Mrs. Lawrence Malcolm became curator, she -completed Book 1 in 1969 and had it photo copied and microfilmed. Mrs. Malcolm began Book 2 in 1969 and completed it in 1986. The Malcolm sons and daugh- ters assisted with typing. Photo copies were made of Book 2 and it has recently been micro- filmed. . The Borelians Amateur Drama Club raised the curtain at Port Perry High School for rehearsals of their upcoming production "Arsenic and Old Lace." Cast members included John Rodway, Joan Fisher, Paul Gouett, with director Marion Pitts. Ontario Provincial Police issued a bulletin warning Ontario residents of a new series of counterfeit American currency in the form of $10 bills. The warning told people to call police if they received one of these phony bills and not to pass the note off as the fine for passing a counterfeit bill can bé a jail term of up to 14 years in prison. Scugog Island's Head ladies held a very successful Turkey Supper with approximately 200 people enjoying a sumptuous meal. 10 YEARS AGO Wednesday, October 7, 1981 A 48-year-old drifter with a lengthy criminal record was found guilty in Provincial Court of attempted abduction of a 10-year-old Port Perry girl. A 26-year-old Lindsay man suffered minor injuries when the refrigerator truck he was driving flipped over on Highway 7A just east of Port Perry.
