pRarkplakefronts= Rebirth of Palmer The revitalization plan for downtown Port Perry and the lakefront has breathed new life into Port Perry’s greatest asset - it’s parks and waterfront. Now, with the project nearing completion, we feel those responsible should be given a big ‘thumbs up’ for the vision and the transformation of the park and its aging facilities. This massive and expensive re-birth of the lakefront lands is already proving to be a popular destination for both locals and visitors. No matter when you drop by, the park, playground or spash pad, they are all bustling with life. The new brick paths and boardwalks now provide easy access for everyone and they are seldom seen without people enjoying a lakeside stroll. ‘We've been somewhat surprised not to have seen many comments, pro or con, about the refurbished park facilities in our local media, so we are inviting you to write to Focus on Scugog and let us know what you think of the ‘new look’ Port Perry lakefront. Drop a comment to: focus@focusonscugog.com and we'll publish your responses in our next issue. python Yt ee
