In addition to raising money for a great cause, par- ticipants are awarded prizes for a variety of categories including fastest time, most unusual ride and most amusing costume. “Once again, we are calling on the community to get involved in this exciting summer event,” said Steve Gajewski, co-chair of Aquarama. “It’s the com- munity that makes this event such a huge success.” Last year the event raised $9,274 and to date Aquarama has raised over $170,000 for local and inter- national children’s charities. The Rotary Club hopes to build on that number this year. Riders can download registration and pledge forms online at www.aquarama.ca.
