CFL legend Russ Jackson guest speaker at Scugog Hall of Fame inductions Canadian Football Hall of Fame legend Russ Jack- son has been announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s “Scugog Hall of Fame” induction ceremony on Thursday, October 24. Committe member Robert Scott is thrilled with the announcement. “It’s not often that we get to have a living legend make an appearance at one of our induc- tion ceremonies, so I think this one’s going to be really special,” offered Mr. Scott. Jackson spent his entire 12-year professional football career with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League, winning three Grey Cups. He is a member of the Order of Canada, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, and has been described as the best Canadian-born quarterback to play in the CFL. After retiring from football, he spent two years as head coach of the Toronto Argonauts, but not reaching the playoffs in either season. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada and was named into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2012.
