The agony and the ecstasy of the Hospital Auxiliary Polar Plunge The 7th annual Port Perry Polar Plunge is history, but this year the event set a few records, including the 58 brave participants who taised $19,000 for the Auxiliary of Port Perry Hospital. The agony of jumping into the frigid cold water of Lake Scugog was certainly offset by the ecstasy of learning the record funds raised this year by the Auxiliary to support the local hospital. Once again the top individual fundraiser was Judy Anderson who brought in pledges amounting to $1,385. Second place went to Lise Lang, who in her first plunge, raised $1,175. First place for a group was the RBC Team with an amazing $3,280 in pledges. Prizes for participating in the most plunges were awarded to Judy Anderson and Dwayne Hooper, each with seven plunges. 5 Above: Dwayne Hooper takes his 7th flying leap into Photos by J.
