PORTS HALL OF FAME Inductees to be honoured at ceremony PARLIAMENT Three individuals and one Ontario Championship hockey team will be honoured for ac- complishments in their chosen sport later this month by the Township of Scugog and the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame Committee. This is the eighth year for this eagerly anticipated sporting event and inductees into the “Hall of Fame” will include a number of residents who have excelled in hockey and curling during their sporting careers. This year’s guest speaker will be former Toronto Maple Leaf General Manager and current Rogers Radio/TV personality Gord Stellick has been announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s Scugog Hall of Fame induction ceremony and will also be available after for autographs. The Hall of Fame Committee is honoured to announce the following inductees to the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame: e Builder - Murray Parliament CLAIR e@ Individual - Clair Cornish CORNISH e@ Individual - Carol Jackson @ Team - 1972/1973 OMHA Beare Motors Bantam ‘C’ Champions The induction ceremony will take place Thursday, November 13 at the Scugog Com- munity Recreation Centre Hall. Doors will be opened to the public commencing at 6 p.m. with light refreshments and bar service being available at that time. The official ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. The public is also invited to visit the “Sports Hall of Fame,” in the Scugog Shores Heritage Centre, on the second floor of the community recreation centre.
