Art of Pamela M@acher on display at Farndale Gallery After 15 more years of exploring her chosen field Pamela Meacher, master painter and conservationist, returns. Pamela’s watercolour works once again will grace the walls of the Kent Farn- dale Gallery until December 4. She is one of the found- j flowers. This style of work is con- @ nected to the Victorian Arts and Crafts movement. In this genre she has written and illustrated two award winning books with faeries and flowers. Presently Pamela is returning and exploring her water- colour roots of landscapes. She has had the privilege of her work being shown at many Canadian and American galleries. Her work has also been published in Arabella magazine, the American Society of Botanical Artists magazine. Pamela is Vice-President of the Scugog Council for the Arts. Her work is on display at the Kent Farndale Gallery. An opening reception will be held on Satur- day, November 1 beginning at 2 p.m. Mistletoe Market Emmanuel Community Church will hold its annual Mistletoe Market at the church hall at 1680 Reach Street, Saturday, November 1. The Mistletoe Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature local artisans, crafters and vendors, as well as a silent auction and coffee bar. Admission is free and the market is in support of the Pregnancy Help Centre of Durham. This annual tradition has put smiles on faces for more than 40 years, and is brought to you by the Scugog Chamber of Com- merce in partnership with the Port Perry Lions Club. This year’s theme is Port Perry gets ready for Santa’s visit “Christmas Past, Present and Future”. The parade is one of the largest and best ‘twilight’ parades in Durham Region. The pa- rade starts at 5 p.m. from the fairground and winds its way along Simcoe St. south before heading though the middle of town along Queen Street.
