Heritage Centre’s The Scugog Shores Heritage Cen- tre & Archives is pleased to announce its first exhibit for the 2015 season, The Barn Raising Project. The forty hooked rugs showcased in The Barn Raising Project, demon- strate the beauty of our rural land- scapes across Canada. The artistic pieces of fibre art illustrate stories of how rural structures, such as barns, have had an impact on the artists. 38 FOCUS - JANUARY 2015 new exhibit showcases rug hooking The Grand Opening celebration takes place Saturday, January 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the show will be on display from January 12 to March 29. The Scugog Shores Heritage Centre & Archives is located at 1655 Reach Street, Port Perry, inside the Scugog Arena on the 2nd floor.
