No paddleboard experience required, this is just to get out on the water for fun! The cost is $180 plus HST for a team of four, which includes a race shirt for each team member. Each team will be timed, but times are for bragging rights only. Every team member who races, will be entered to win an $1800 Rogue Paddleboard. All proceeds from the race will go to the Scugog Lake Stewards. Jack Doak of Old Flame Brewing Co., is thrilled to be the key sponsor and is covering the cost of the paddleboard. The event takes place at Palmer Park, Saturday August 15 from 7 a.m. -2 p.m. and then the fun contin- ues at Old Flame, where a Craft Brew Festival will be held. It will be free to enter the brewery, and you will then pay for samples as you partake. The BIA is also joining the excitement and will close Queen St. from Water St. to Perry St. Many mer- chants will set up outside their doors, so that you can shop throughout the day!
