This year the Scugog Council for the Arts wants you to putit to music in preparation for the Mayor’s Gala for the Arts. The gala theme this year is “Scugog Rocks”, and the SCA is inviting singer songwriters to enter the Scugog Tribute Song Writing Contest. All genres of mu- sic are welcome, and there will be three prizes of $500 awarded to the top artists that best reflect a positive vibe for 0g. The goal of the SCA is to support local arts and artists, and that includes visual arts, craft, music, theatre, litera- ture and more. “We're really excited about the song writ- ing competition,” said Gala chair Birgitta MacLeod. “The three winning entries will have their world premiere at the event on November 5.
