Predeceased by his wife,

Marion Burgess, and his

daughter, Kathy Read, Bill is

survived by his daughters

Lynda (Paul) Crago, Debbie

(John) Snowden and Janice

Burgess, his son-in-law, Stan

Read, his grandchildren,

Meghan, Mackenzie, Jennifer,

Jessica, Michelle and Trevor

and his great-grandchildren,

Addison, Emma, Olivia,

Eleanor, Emerson, Veronique,

Klara, Lauren and Charlotte.

Bill is also survived by his

brother Wayne Burgess. He

was predeceased by his

parents, Arthur and Vera

Burgess, his sister, Gwen

Baird, and his brother, Melville

Burgess. Bill played sports his

entire life. He was a

competitive badminton player

and long time member and

supporter of the old

Bowmanville Badminton Club,

an active member of the

Bowmanville Tennis Club for

decades, an avid squash

player and life long golfer. He

reluctantly retired from tennis

and golf only a few short years

ago when he was in his late

80s. Bill and Marion were

passionate bridge players,

they both loved to travel the

world and were lucky to have

made many good friends

along the way. Bill was fun

loving and truly lived life to the

fullest every single day. He

was a shining example of a life

well lived. We would like to

say a special thanks to Dad's

nurses on the second floor at

Bowmanville Hospital. You

tucked Dad under your wings

for his last few days and

reminded us, yet again, what

special people nurses are.

Arrangements entrusted to

NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT
