(Mar. 19-Apr. 19) BODY OF TORONTO MAN IS LOCATED| George M. Hendry Drowned in Grenadier Pond-- Reason a Mystery Toronto, April 8.--The body of George M. Hendry has been found. | But while the finding has solved one riddle, another remains une answered. The two boys who saw his body submerged in a tangle of weeds in the Grenadier pond on Saturday afternoon brought to an end the search which detectives ana the missing man's friends had con- ducted since his disappearance last Sunday night, but the question "why?" remains, From the various stories of George Hendry"s wanderings and from the cloud of rumor which gathered in connection with his dis appearance, the reason for his death in Grenadier pond. may em- erge when police and medica] offi- cials place their. evidence before a coroner's jury. If their-inyestiga- tions have provided jhe answer al- ready, however, it is sealed. . So far it seems that the most tangible piece of evidence in the mystery is a cheque for $2,500 which was found in one of the dead man's pockets. Police will not say by whom the cheque was signed nor what date it bore, To Analyze Stomach By the Hering of Dr. M. M, Craw- ford, chief coroner, Dr. Y H. Erb performed an autopsy on Saturday night, Dr. Crawford then made ar- rangements to have the stomacn contents of the dead man analyzed by Prof. J, L. Rogers, provincial government analyist. Last night Dr. Crawford stated that he had not yet received the autopsist's re- port and that it would be three or four days at least before the result of the analysis could be known. The preliminary examination is said, however, to have indicated that Hendry's death was caused by drowning. Cod liver oil is being fed to hens, as a means of increasing egg produc- tion. TSS BIG FUTURE IN MANITOBA SEAPORT Winnipeg, April 8.--During a brief session of the Manitoba Leg- islature C. McKinnell, Government member for Rock- wood, called the attention of rail line from The Pas to Fort Churchill, terminus of the Hudson seaport. It was an epochal event in the history of the Province, Mr, Mec- Kinnell declared, and one worthy of congratulation. He predicted that Fort Churchill would have a population of 100,000 within the next 20 years, and congratulated the Government in taking over the 1owneite administration of Church- cleared, and the way is open for introduction of the budget by Premier Bracken, when the House meets Thursday after. noon. An act respecting the boundary between Manitoba and Ontario was sanctioned Wednesday. It con- firms the boundary line surveyed by the duly appointed commission- ers, and, providing the Ontario Legislature passes a similar act, the Manitoba Legislature consents to the Dominion Government con- firming the boundary line as now surveyed.
