Thursday last was a gala day at our church when the annual quilt- ing of the Women's Missionary So- ciety: was held. 'The ladies assem- bled in the forenoon and put the quilts in frames, then came the dinner hour, which was really the social hour of the day. The menu was composed of almost everything one could think of, and the ladies did ample justice, trying out the many dainty dishes set before them, After dinner the quilting was resumed until 3 p.m., when the President Mrs. Clarence Yun- found called the ladies to order and the regular monthly meeting was held, with Mrs. Arthur Oke"s group in charge. After the devotional period in which several hymns were sung, a very interesting mis- sionary address was given by Mrs. Russel Gay. At the close of the meeting the quilts were finished and the ladies went home after spending a happy day together. Op Friday evening a joint meet- ing of the Tuxis and C.G.I.T. was held in the Sunday school room.
