Bea- ton made public today the news. that production and sales of General Mo- tors cars for the first three months of 1929 exceeded by forty per cent. the figures for the first quarter of last year. At the end of the last working day in March the General Motors plants in Oshawa, St. Catharines, Walker- ville and Regina had produced 34,565 cars and trucks since the first of January, This figure compares fav- orably with the total of 25802 units produced during the same period of | 1928.
