B. Cots- worth, of Vancouver, who is now in Toronto in connection with the work of the International Fixed Calendar League, of which he is the founder and director. Mr. Cots- worth, in an interview with The Canadian Press, said that world wide adoption of a simplified cal- endar would likely take place by 1933. The Canadian Manu- facturers Association has passed a resolution endorsing calendar re- form and has forwarded it to the dominion authorities with a recom- mendation that a national commit- tee be appointed, Mr. Cotsworth stated. Besides the League of Na- tions, the International Labor Con- ference and the Pan-American Lea- gue are among the international organizations to advocate calendar reform. The Trades and Labor Congress of Canada and the Na- tional Council of Women are among the Canadian osganizations to re- quest the Dominion government to appoint a national committee.
