Brent, Mapleton Farm, was the scene of a quiet but pretty weu- ding on Saturday last when their daughter, Evelyne Alberta was uni- ted in marriage with Lorne Phare, of Glidden, Sask., son of Mrs. H. Phare and the late John Phare, of Tyrone. The ceremony was per- formed by Rev. J. R. Trompour, pastor of Tyrone United Church, Miss Mae Brent, sister of the bride, presided at the piano. The bride appeared, 'leaning on the arm of her father, and looked charming in an effective gown of rose-glow georgette and carried a shower bouquet of sunset roses and lily-of-the-valley. During the sign- ing of the register, Master Gordon Brent, brother of the bride, sang "When Song is Sweet." The morning service was well attended and our pastor, Rev. J. H. Stainton, preachea very splendidly. His talk to the boys and girls was on the subject of #What Little Things will do," and 'his sermon to the adult congrega- tion was from the text found in Zechariah 4:6.
