HE citizens of Oshawa this evening are being given the glorious opportunity of doing honor to a courageous and skilful aggregation of lacrosse players---bearing the name of the General Motors of Canada, and of the City of Oshawa. They have brought lasting honor to the firm and the city they represent by their great achieve- ment in winning the Dominion Lacrosse Championship and the historic Mann Cup, thus bringing back to Oshawa and to Ontario an honor which in years past has been practically monopolized by the team of the Pacific Coast It is our rare privilege to have this opportunity of conveying our congratulations to the Dominion Champions---Oshawa's representa- tives on the lacrosse field. We, the undersigned citizens and firms of Oshawa, are proud of the General Motors lacrosse team and take this means of expressing to every player, and to the team as a whole, that feeling of pride which: must come to every citizen of Oshawa in being able to take a part in welcoming home Canada's greatest lacrosse team. _ Players all, our hats are off to you!
