Clark Elected Presi- "dent for Season of 1930-- Plans Started for Annual Dance Off to Another Good Start Wednesday night in the Board Room of the General Motors Office, the General Motors Rugby. Club held their second annual meeting and there were about thirty members of the club present. The Blue Devils were successful in winning their league this year but lost the Ontario title to the Sarnia Wanderers in a thrilling series. Wed- nesday night they closed the business for the past scason and elected their officers for the coming year. H. C. Lecky, President of the Club, opened the meeting with a few suit- that dur- .able remarks. He stated ing the last season's association with ihe Blue Devils, he had derived more whole hearted satisfaction from his connection with the Blue Devils than from any other source. He compli- mented the boys on the splendid man- ner in which they upheld their name last vear and the sportsman like way in which they accepted defeat. said that he considered them the finest bunch of fellows that he had ever been associated with. Ross Mc- Kinnon, W. H. Clark, R. Wilber, D. Swartz and C. E. McTavish all echoed the words of the President, After these remarks had been made an election of officers was held. W. H. Clark was elected to be the Presi- dent of the General Motors "Blue Devils" Rugby club for the season of 1930. R. Wilbur, D. Swartz and C, E. McTavish were elected vice- presidents for the coming year. Neil Hezzelwood was re-elected to the position of Secty. Claude Watt was named Secty.-Treasurer. B. Jenner, M. C. was held last night. Elections for the positions of vice-president and secretary will be held next Friday. A good practice was held after the meeting and the show is beginning to take shape.
