LAY GALT DEATH T0 ANAESTHETIC Preston Man Dies in Hos- pital After Fracture Reset Galt, Jan 21.--Willilam Eby, Preston, died in the local hospita: allegedly from the effects of an anaesthic, Last Wednesday while driving on a Preston street, his cutter upset and Eby was dragged some dis- tance, suffering a compound frac- ture of the left leg. The fracture was set and Eby was removed to his home. He again broke the leg in bed and was brought to the lo cal hospital Saturday to have it reset by two Preston doctors. Dr, Reist set the fracture and Dr, Daw- son is said to have administered the anaesthetic. Eby died a short time later. Coroner Dr. Radfora was notified and ordered an in- quest which was adjourned unti] next Friday. Dr. Oaks of Preston is performing a post-mortem, Neither the hospital or medical authorities would discuss the case or give out any information as to the kind of an anaesthetic used.
