Tickets are now being sold by every member of the club for 25 cents each, which entitles the purchaser to admission to/the Rotary Fair on both nights and also to one estimate on the mileage run by the car. The tewnty-four hour run on which the contest is to be based will start at 10 a.m., on Wednes- day, June 18 when the car will be set in motion in a tent on the Ro- tary Park, where: the fair is to be held, The speedometer will. be sealed by Mayor Mitchell, of Osh- awa, Mayor Bowman, of Whitby, and Mayor Ellott, of Bowman¥ille. Tod, 'chairman of the parade committee of the Rotary Fair to be held in Rotary Park on Wednesday and Tuesday of next week. Rofarian Tod has been iii charge of several parades of this kind in past years, but:he told the Rotarians at yes- terday's meeting that this year's parade would outstrip all previous performances, and would -send' the Rotary Fair off to a spelndid start. This parade is to be staged. on Wednesday evening, June 18, when the fair opens, and there will be the usual long list of prizes offered with "bands and nolse-making.-ap- pliances: galore, to lead all ¢itizens down to the Fair grounds at Rotary Park. On the second 'evening, there wil be guother parade of a different character, with H, W, Nicoll in charge, This parade will be made up of practically all the sporting organizations in the '¢ity in uni- form and will show 'the sympathy of all sportsmen and sportswomen for the Rotary cause of helping the crippled children to health and strength. ' In addition, in order to make the second night of the Fair a real car- nival night, there will be a grand masquerade of costumed people, wth handsome prizes 6ffered for the best and most original costumes. This masquerade, will be one of the features of the Carnival night of the Fair, and all those in costume will be required to parade beforo the thousands of visitors in order that they may be judged. special platform is to be erected for this purpose, and the parade should be one of the colorful events of the evening. All those who are in cos- tume, and intend to join the parade for the prizes are asked to be at Rotary Park by 7.30 p.m, to be judged, and they will be admitted free to the grounds for the Fair.
