THE OSHAWA DAILY TIMES, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 1930 PAGE SEVEN CHARGE YOUTH STOLE DAD'S HENS Strathroy Boy and Compan- ion Haled Into Court For Offence London, Ont.,, Nov. 13.--Orval Goldrick, Strathroy youth, found himself charged with the theft of 19 chickens from his father's farm in Metcalf township, when he ap- peared in county police court in \Gompe y with another Strathroy th. Goldrick and Wesley Dou- glas are alleged by county police to have stolen the valuable birds from the elder Goldrick"s hen house on the night of Thanksgiving. According to Constable Fred Al- fred, Goldrick had been living apart from his father in Strathroy. Late at night, it is alleged that the two youths drove in a car to within a mile of the Goldrick farm in Met- calf township, making their way on foot to the hen house. They ae- complished their purpose with such quickness and lack of noise that Lid Goldrick never suspected his ons. Information was obtained by the police that the chickens had been taken from Goldrick's farm and up- en investigation the farmer found thet 19 of his best birds were miss- ing. He immediately swore out in- formation against the two accused.
