Skinner's Maple Leafs defeated Niagara Falls Cataracts here last night by a score of 2 to 1, in a thrilling overtime struggle that was the first game of the On- tario Hockey League playofls. The match was a great hattle between two clever teams and the fans were given a saventy-minute tussle of wide-open hockey, with some of the lustiest body-checking seen in a game in this city for many years. The teams played a great battle with the two defence combinations showing some clever work, and both Norfolk for Gueiph and Fisher for Niagara Falls, mak- ing many sensational saves in the net to avert almost certain tallies. TRINIDAD OIL FLOWS AT INCREASING RATE Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, B.W.I,, March 12,--Trinidad oil produc- tion continues to be on the in- crease, The flow of oil in 1930 was more than quadruple the output of oil 10 years ago. With a recovery in prices this year the production promises to show a vefy favorable increase, compared with any pre- vious year, "The average 6 monthly produce tion of oil from Trinidad wells in 1930, was 784,915 barrels of oll, as compared with 726,304 bar- all, Inspector of Mines, stated re- cently in an interview with the Trinidad Guardian. Since 1919 there has been a 'steady increase. In 1920 the output was 2,083, 627 barrels. "At the end of 1929, there were 8,715,652 barrels produced. And last year showed a greater in- crease.
