Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tregunna and family were guests of Mr, and Mrs. Jas. Aldous, Oshawa, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. J. Luke and John, Miss Olive E. Luke, Toronto, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Luke. Miss Marion Mountjoy, who has been visiting relatives in Toronto and attending the Exhibition, returned home with them. Miss Helen Cole visited her sis- ters, Mrs. Robt. L. Hancock, Colum- bus, and Mrs. Lawrence Allen, Osh. awa, recently. the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. The Young People's Union will commence their fall and winter term next Friday evening when Rev. A. PF. Gardner, Tyrone, will address. the young people. Goodman and Louise, the latter attending the C.N.E. with her on Tuesday. Mrs. L. McWood, Miss Dorothy McWood, Mrs. Ernest McAuthy, De- troit, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs, Har- ley Hayes, Windsor; Mr. and Mrs. J. Gregory, Oshawa; Mr. and Mrs. El- wood Fennell, and Donald, Mrs. L. S. Caverly, Mr. Ken Cavrly, Toron- to; Miss Eva Souch, Enniskillen, visited at tHe home of C. W. Souch. Mrs. K, Caverly and children are remaining for a time with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Souch, her mother being in ill health. The large maple tree near the mill is as usual one of the first to receive a touch from the autumn's paint brush. Running hoops, by some visiting boys from Oshawa, makes one won- der if this is & means of play that has been revived, and once quite common on our village streets. Miss H. Gordon, Enniskillen, was guest. for a few days of Miss Madlyn Wilcox. Mr. W. R. Bailey, Kitchener, was a Labour Day visitor with Mr. C. E. Horn and other relatives enroute to Belleville. Mrs. R. Petley and son Ralph, wis- ited at the home of Mr. H. Allin over the week-end and holiday. Sympathy is extended the family of Mr. Wesley Allin whose demise occurred on Friday night, at his home. Internment at Hampton on Monday. Mr. Walter Cryderman, Enniskil- len, visited at the home of his son- in-law, Mr. C. Smith, on Sunday. Mr. J. B. Horn, and daughters, Aloh® and Naomi, Dutton, were week-end visitors with relatives. Rev. and Mrs. Merwin Wright and children, Dover Centre, visited Mrs. M. Goodman *and Louise.
