M. Brooke, 44 Colborne Street East. The little girl was pho. tegraphed just before she embarks: ed with a large number of British' "war guest" children, Canadaet: bound. Though born in. England, Marlo was returning home and for the second time. She will be the' guest of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Keddie, Oitawa, who are enterizining Mrs, Douglas Keddie, wife of another son serving in the Royal Air Force. Marlo's grandparents formerly lived in Oshawa where they are well-known to older residents of the city, Mrs, Will Keddie was former= ly Miss Emma Morgan. Morgan Keddie, father of Marlo, has been cerving as an officer ia the Royal Air Force for the pass nine years. Mrs. Keddie, her mcther, chose to remain in Enge land, sharing its perils, and, since she is a trained nurse, so that she may be available for duty where= ever and whenever there is need for her service. In 1938, just about the time when Prime Minister Chamberlain was making desperate efforts to placate Hitler, Marlo sailed to Canada for the first time.
