Preparing For Its Fall Bazaar MRS. B. OKE Correspondent Ebenezer and Courtice, Nov. 10-- The Women's Association held its meeting on Friday night, with 23 ladies and four juniors in attend- ance. The President, Mrs. Johnston, opened the meeting with a hymn, followed by repeating the Lord's Prayer in unison. The roll was call- ed, and the secretary's report was given and approved. Two lovely piano accordion sel- ections were given by Mrs. Joe Mc- Kenzie, The Scripture reading was read by Mrs. Scorgie, Proverbs, Chapter 31, starting at the tenth verse. Mrs. De Coe gave the devo- tional on "Ldeal Woman" and closed with prayer. Mrs. Gatchell gave a reading "A Dirty Trick", which was appreciated. The treasurer gave a very encouraging report. Business items were then dealt with, and many items were discussed about the bazaar, and all hoping the new church would be ready to hold the coming bazaar. Mumps are quite prevalent among our many school pupils at the present time, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Werry were recent visitors at the home of Raf and Mrs, Cole in Kitchener. Mrs. Bob Courtice and little daughter, Lynda, are spending a couple of weeks with relatives at Belleville. Little Miss Bonuie Greig, Oshawa, was a Sunday visitor with Douglas and Mrs, Oke. Mrs. Carman Choate, accompans= fed Mr. and Mrs. J. Chose, Oshawa, to Wellington on Sunday to visit relatives, A goodly number gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hulton, Ebenezer, and gave them a mis- cellaneous shower, Mrs. Russel Gimblett read an address which explained the intrusion, after which the young couple opened their many lovely gifts and responded in a very fitting manner.
