STARTS MONDAY AT ODEON-BILTMORE Jay Jostyn, whose voice has become known to millions of radio listeners as "Mr. District Attorney," makes his motion picture debut in the role of District Attorney in 20th Century-Fox's dramatic crime thriller, "Kiss of Death." The film, which stars Victor Mature, Brian Donlevy and Coleen Gray opens Monday at the Biltmore Theatre. Jostyn"s trip before the cameras gave him an opportunity to put into play a theory he has always harbored. He has played so many diversified parts that collectively, the mythical people he has brought to life via the air- aves might populate a good-sized vil- e. . That is why, if he had his way--and if radio permitted it--he would memo- rize each of his parts. He believes in really throwing himself into each role, as he would' on the legitimate stage, but having to read a script makes it extremely difficult. Working before the cameras in "Kiss of Death," gave him his first real op- portunity to check his no-script-in- hand acting theory. He may yet carry the: practice into radio. = also The Odeon-Biltmore presents for your complete afternoon or evening's enjoyment, "Lost Honeymoon," starring Franchot Tone and Anne Baxter.
