Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Werry, Mrs. H. F. Werry attended Brooklin An- niversary and were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Batty and Miss Doris Batty on Sunday. Miss Edna Samells, Scugog, has been engaged to teach Pereman's School for the coming year. Master Brian Lee attended Zion S.S. Anniversary and was tea guest of Master Doug. Cruickshank. Miss Diane Lee attended Zion services and was tea guest of Mr, G. Travail's, LJ] We welcome Mr, Albert Eddy of Cornwall, England, who has come to'Canada to carry on agricultural pursuits and is welcome help at Mr, Cecil Pascoe's, Albert is a cous- in of Mrs. Albert Tregusma. He greatly appreciates the better food and clothing supplies, making us ¢ feel selfish as we demur when we cannot obtain our latest whimsical fancy, Mrs. Emma Roberts and Miss Margaret Wray, were recent guests at the home of Mr. Arthur Wray. Mrs. Harvey Crossman, assisted by her daughter, Miss Irene Cross- man, entertained the W.A. June meeting. The attendance was good, with a number of welcome visitors. Mrs. H. A. Werry, Vice.-Pres., pre- sided in the absence of the Presi- dent, opening with Edgar Guest's poem. Mrs, R. E. Lee presided at the piano and quietly played ' "My Jesus I Love Thee." Miss Luella Hepburn gave the call to worship and led the Worship service. Hymns 476 and 607 were sung, Scripture read by Mrs. E. Mount- joy and topic by Miss Beatrice Mountjoy, was followed by prayer by Mrs. Frank Hancock. Mrs. Lee played "Mazurka of the Animals," Mrs, Glover read "The Delayed Train," Mrs. Werry conducted busi- ness. Congratulations were extended to Mrs. Percy Mountjoy on the third anniversary of their wedding. Mrs. D. McGrath sang "Face to Face" and latef "In the Garden of To- morrow." . Mrs. F. Hancock intro- duced Mrs. Clyde Saunders who gave a very interesting talk on Cub work and Scout activities. Thanks were extended to Mrs. Saunders for taking time from her busy life to bring this enlightening address. De- licious refreshments were served and a delightful social hour enjoy- ed.
