THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER Many Visitors To Hampton Area M. HORN Correspondent Hampton, Sept. 14--Morley Hast- ings, Toronto, visited friends here during the week end. Billie Gilbert of Oshawa and Ethel Gilbert, Toronto, spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stevens visited Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Taylor at Ty- rone, and attended the Harvest Home services on Sunday. Kenneth Purdon and Miss Marie Purdon, Toronto, spent the week end with their grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Jack Purdon. Wilbert Bailey of Kitchener, G. Eagle of Michigan, were with the former's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Horn, and Miss M. Horn. Miss Eileen Wray, Oshawa, spent Sunday and Monday at home. Mr, and Mrs, Gilbert Adcock and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adcock and son, Ray, visited relatives in To- ronto on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Salter spent thé week end with Toronto rela- tives and attended the C.N.E. Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Hoskin visited Mr. and Mrs. Marwood Heard at Enn' 'killen. Miss Bessie Reynolds, Reg. N., and A. Haskell, Oshawa, visited her brother, Jack and Mrs. Reynolds and family on Monday. Miss Joyce Allin visited at Sel- kirk, and was bridesmaid at the Rodgers - Fitzgerald wedding on Sept. 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Bloyd Wilcox of Cobourg, spent the week end with their parents here. Mrs. G. Masson, Woodstock, who has been a guest of Mrs. Elmer Wilbur, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Allin and children, Sylvia and Lee, Mrs. C. Graham and daughter Jane, Mr. Maurice Graham and Mr. John Graham of Gravenhurst, visited at Harold Allin's. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Mortlock, Kathleen, Joan and Tommy, Ot- tawa, visited Mr. and Mrs. Will Chapman. Miss Annabelle Adcock was a re- cent visitor with Miss Velma Colla- cutt, at Tyrone. . Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Burnett, Orono, were visitors with her sis- ter, Mrs. Will Wilbur, and Mr. Wil- bur. Her many Hampton friends are pleased to know thats she is somewhat improved from her ill- ness. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adcock and son Ray, and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Adcock, visited relatives in Toronto on Sunday. Miss Marie Anderson, Lindsay, was a week end guest of Miss Mad- Ign Wilcox. Miss Ethel Gilbert, Toronto, and Bill Gilbert, Oshawa, visited their parenis, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Towns .and son, Steven, of Toronto, were guests of Rev. and Mrs. E. 8. Lin- stead on: Labor Day. Miss Nancy Johns returned to her teaching duties in Toronto, on Monday, Miss 'Margaret Purdon returned to Cherrywood School. on Monday. Miss Dora Purdon, Public Health Nurse, is 'engaged in the South Simcoe Area, with headquarters at Alliston. . Mrs. Frank Rogers, Yvonne, Grant, and Ross, motored to Tren- ton, Michigan, for the holiday week end, visiting her sister there. Her mother, Mrs. McMullen, re- turned home with her after spend- ing the summer with her daughter, Mrs. Laverne Heaslip at Trenton. A number from Hampton have taken in the Exhibition, travelling by Garton bus from Hampton which has been quite convenient. Several from here attended the Harvest Home Services at Tyrone. Miss Lulu Reynolds is on a motor trip with her brother, Dr. Ellis Reynolds and Mrs. Reynolds of To- ronto. Columbus School Has New Principal MARY M. DYER Correspondent Columbus, Sept. 15--Mrs. W. G. McCulloch of Orono spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Pascoe. Mr. Grant Pascoe spent a few days with Alan Scott. Mr, and Mrs. Alf. Holgate and family of Concord called on friends in this district on Sunday. Miss Barbara Miller has gone to London to train in the hospital there. Pas- coe, Grant and Douglas, motored to Gravenhurst on Saturday morning and took the hundred mile cruise on Muskoka Lakes, returning home Sunday 'By way of Algonquin Park and Bancroft.
