RAHM \ Correspondent Tyrone, Nov. 9--A very enjoyakle time was spent on Friday evening Nov. 5, in Tyrone Hall, given by Mrs. William Virtue, on the occas- ion of her 85th birthday. Relatives and friends gathered from Toronto, Port Perry, Thornhill, Orono. Bow- manville, Tyrone and surrounding districts. The evening was spent in cards and dancing. Delicious refreshments were served, including two beautiful decorated birthday cakes. All wish~ ed Mr, Virtue a happy birthday, to which he replied very fittingly. All joined in the "National Anthem." On Saturday evening, Nov. 6, about 50 relatives of Mr. and Mrs. 4Rundle and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hall gathered, and took possession of their home while they were away, giving them quite a surprise of shower gifts and wed- ding presents. A pleasant time was spent. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Neil Yellowlees, Mr. and Mrs, John John Oke, who all celebrated their wed- ding anniversaries, in the form of Pot Luck suppers, at their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Rundle, Hamp- ton, on Sunday. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent on Nov. 4th, when about 25 ladies of the Enniskillen W.M.S, visited the Tyrone W.M.S. ladies. Mrs. R. Wright took charge of business in the absence of the pres- ident, Mrs. S. Jewell, who has been ill. Mrs. 8S. Hoar played quiet mu- sic. Mrs. R. Hodgson gave the de- votional message. Mrs. D. Carr from Enniskillen took charge of the program, an instrumental, Mrs. Milton Stainton; reading on "Stewardship," Mrs. R. Ormiston; solo, Mrs. Lloyd Ashton.
