RUSSELL GRIFFIN Correspondent ENNISKILLEN, --The WA met at the home of Mrs, Lloyd Ashton for the May meeting in the eve- ning. President Mrs. H. Mills open- ed the meeting with WA motto and creed. Scripture was read by Mrs. Edgar Wright from Matthews Gos- el. Devotional leaflet was read Mrs. H. Stevens and Mrs. J. McLaughlin. Mrs. E. Page closed with prayer. The roll call for the month created some humor with answers on "My Pet Peeve'. Don- ations were handed in from 'Hobo Teas'. Arrangements were made and a committee put in for operation of a booth at the ball field this sum- | mer. Mrs. A. Sharp presented the pro- gram: piano solo by Phyllis How- ell. All were pleased to have Mrs. Wolfe - of Blackstock. address the meeting. She spoke on Edna Jac- ques, travels and the poems she has written and her home life. Sharp called the ladies to order and read an address to Mrs. James Adams, who has left the village and moved to Bowman- ville, Mrs. E. Werry, Mrs. H. McGill and Betty Jane Werry, pre- sented Mrs. Adams with an electric tea kettle, a combined heater and fan, also a vase in corn flower pat- tern from the community. Mrs. | Adams thanked all for her gifts. Lunch was served by the group in charge. The funeral of the late Mrs. Edith Rowing of London on June 1, was attended by Mr. and Mrs. F. W.
