BS THE DAILY TIMES-GAZETTE, Thursday, June 25, 1858 GREENBANK United Church Marks Its 57th Anniversary GREENBANK -- The 57th an- niversary services of Greenbank United Church took place here on Sunday morning and evening.The uest speaker, Rev. D. Davis of 3 ouffville, conducted at both serv- ces. Special music was presented by the choir under the direction of choir leader Mrs. E. Phair with Mrs. T. Sharp accompanying on the piano. Mrs. T. Kerr of Brook- lin, soloist in the morning, sang "The Lord is my Light" and '"Near the Cross'. The choir sang "The Glory of God in Nature". Mr. Davis chose as his subject "How long is my Shadow" with scripture from the 5th chapter of Acts. In the evening Mr. D. Chris- tensen of Whitby gave two selec- tions on the violin accompanied by Mrs. Phair. The choir sang "Now the day is Over" and a mixed quartette sang 'Bless the Lord O My Soul". Sunday visitors with Rev. R. Chopin were Rev. and Mrs. Davis of Stouffville, Mr. and Mrs. T. Kerr and son of Brooklin, Mr. and Mrs. Burkholder and family of Stouffville. Dr. and Mrs. L. Phoenix of west- ern Canada are visiting with rela- tives here. George Real and friend from Calgary, Alberta, are spending a few holidays with relatives here. Mrs. J. Condy of Claremont spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. E. Phair. Miss Aletha Cragg has been ap- pointed enumerator for this polling division. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Beadle and family of Lindsay were visitors here on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brandon, Shirley and Richard, of Markham spent Sunday at the home of Mr. 'ed and Mrs. Fred Real. Miss Joyce Beare of Toronto spent the weekend with her par: ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ryerson Beare.
