Cardinals Defeat Indians 6-5 Tilt In a UAW Shop League game played at Alexandra Park on Tues- day afternoon, Cardinals nosed out Indians 6-5, in one of the best softball games of the league's schedule. Cardinals got single tallies in the first and third frames and then staged 'a mammoth 4-run splurge in the fourth inning with Haxton, Davis, Thompson and Maeson all crossing the plate, to lead the game 6-4. Indians had scored three runs by Harman, Shearer and DePratto in the first inning and Harman scored again in the second stanza. It stayed at that until the sixth, when again lead-off batter Harman got on and got home, to make the score 6-5 but Indians couldn't get the one more run needed to tie it up.
