Mrs. Moilett's niece, Miss Doreen Townsend, returned with Wed In Sussex, N.B, To Live in Oshawa The home of the bride in Sus- sex, New Brunswick, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently when James MacDonald of Oshawa took as his bride, Ruby Frances,Mac- auley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Macauley. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. D. K. MacLeod. Pink and white sweet peas and gladioli "decorated the rooms. The wedding music was played by Mrs. James Thomson. Given in marriage by her bro- ther, Mr. James Macauley, the bride wore a street-length dress of navy blue sheer with pink hat and accessories and a corsage of mauve and pink orchids. Her jew- elry was a single strand of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Otty Carleton, who was her counsin's only. attendant, was in midnight blue with white ac- cessories and a corsage of blush pink roses. Mr. David MacDonald was best man for his brother. Following the ceremony a buf- fet luncheon was served by the nieces of the bride. The table was centred with a three-tiered wed- ding cake made by the bride's sister. Mrs. Thomas Thomson, sis- ter of the bridegroom, and Mrs. David MacDonald, sister of the Macauley cut the ices. Later Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald left for a wedding trip to Prince Edward Island. For travelling the bride donned a bluish gray corded shortie coat. On their return they will live in Oshawa where the bridegroom is employed with the General Motors. The bride has been a member of the teaching staff of the Sussex Composite School for a number of years. Mr. Harold Nugent was best man and the ushers were Mr. Jilliam Sundstrom and Mr. Jack ent. A reception was held in the Church parlors. For the occasion the bride's mother and the bride- groom's mother were both in navy blue sheer with white accessories.
