COURTICE 'Lay Plans For |. W.A. Bazaar MRS, C. W. THOMPSON Correspondent COURTICE--The October meet- ing of the Courtice Woman's As- sociation was held at Courtice Church. Te pecident opened the Pre 'secretary being unable to attend, Mrs. Carl 'Adams acted and read the minutes of the last Mrs. C. Shutron and Ma i 'Robinson were chosen as the lunch committee for the next meeting which will be an after- noon event on November 19. The meeting closed with Mizpah Bene- diction and all enjoyed a social time. CHAIN OF TEAS The WA chain of teas have been completed and was held at the home of Mrs. Robert Barber who was assisted by Mrs. F. Balson, Mrs. man, Mrs. E. Essery, Mrs. enfound and' Mrs. Wm. Yre-3 'of Oshawa. Dorothy and Janet Barber, daughter of Mrs, Barber, assisted in se! the la. dies. The teas have added a nice amount to ae treasury. It was also mentioned that a Young People's Library could be started which would be profitable to each mem- ber. The secretary will write to the United Church Publishing House to obtain a Mst of books available. Young People's Week will be held November 15 to 22. A _Hallowe'en party will be held at Ebenezer church at 8 p.m. at witieh young people are welcome. A short recreational period was enjoyed. Roach received word that her brother, Mr. Harry Cowan of Minden, has received criticial head injuries in a ear accident last week. We hope for his com- plete recovery.
