The Pine Ridge Chorus have been practicing for an up and coming competition in Syracuse New York. Good luck girls on April 25. The Good Friday service will be at Epsom Church at 10:30 a.m. All welcome. Next Monday evening, April 13, the Pine Ridge girls will hold a dress rehearsal in the Uxbridge Hall. Everyone is wel- come. Heddy Lefebvre would love to hear from Epsom friends. Her new address is 656 Glamis Rd., Unit 76, Cambridge, Ont., N1R 6W4. The Basters celebrated Ca- thy's birthday on Sunday. Her sister Julia flew home from Fort Myers, Florida to join the fami- by and Grandpa and Grandma ones for the happy occasion. Bill Ryall of Fenlon Falls vis- ited Don and Stella for lunch on Grade 1-2 students at Epsom Public School held a Celebration of Writing on Friday morning. The students were divided into small groups where they read and discussed books they had written themselves. The students also did their own computer pop-up art- work for the books. On Monday Joan Asling of Hanover and her mother Ol- lie Barton of Uxbridge visited the Aslings. On Tuesday Keith and Faye Ashton had lunch with Don and Stella. Larry and Shirley Gardine of Toronto and Ern Simpson of Ux- bridge were luncheon guests with Earl, Marie, and Scott Wil- son on Tuesday. Brian Wiersma and friend Jill of Blythe were weekend vis- itors with Barb and Ross Evans and called on other members of the Evans family. Canada Day celebration in Epsom is being planned. Epsom has chosen June 27 to celebrate the 125th Canada Day with a parade, sports and a strawberry social. Everyone will be expect- ed to help with this community effort. Robert Ashton and Mike Wil- son finished the hockey season with the I.G.A. team of Port Perry on Thursday evening. There was a father and son skate on Sunday afternoon. Earl and Marie Wilson visit- ed Jan and Marlene Archibald and family of Udora on Sunday. Don and Stella Asling, Rich- ard, Heather and Vickie Ashton enjoyed Sunday supper with Faye and Keith Ashton and family. Several friends visited Earl and Elizabeth Taylor to help Earl celebrate his birthday April 1. Elmer and Ruth Wilson are home from the winter in Flori- da. They called on their son Floyd and his wife Helen on their way home.
