" PORT PERRY ) DENTAL CENTRE 238 QUEEN ST. - PORT PERRY | 985-8451 Evening & Saturday appointments available PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, January 4,1994 - 11 Township will tag and tow vehicles blocking winter snow removal Scugog intends to get tough on motorists illegally parked this winter. » In ap effort to provide a clear route for the township's snow removal equipment, the bylaw enforcement officer and police department will be tagging and towing vehicles blocking the snow routes. And the penalty is not light. It is a $30 ticket as well as the .cost of the towing and impoundment. Bill Henshall, Scugog's bylaw enforcement officer, said he intends to get tough on motorists blocking the snow removal routes. Last year there were a number of incidents in which the snowplow operators were forced to make multiple runs on the street due to parked cars. This cost the township both time and money. Both of which are scarce this winter. As a result, Mr. Henshall will be enforcing the three-hour parking bylaw as well as ensuring that no vehicles are impeding the plow routes. "T just want to make the public aware that the bylaws are in effect and will be enforced," he said.
