"A Family Tradition for 127 Years" PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, February 1,1994 - 7 Lette I'S to the editor To the Editor: [ am writing this letter hav- ing worked in Port Perry and helped support a lot of different organizations in your communi- ty," thought you had a great honest community which 1 found our different on Monday, Jan. 24. I'went to the OddFellows Hall to a hot luncheon put on by the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary which I enjoyed very much till I came out to my car, a 1993 wine Buick Regal to find the back fender and bumper damaged and glass on the ground. Now the person that did it knew they did it as their was that much damage done. So I am still hoping that person still will be honest enough to come Three cheers to road crews To the Editor: I have been at my work- station for nearly two hours now. I work across from the SkyDome for a large corpora- tion. People are starting to ar- rive, later than usual, with hor- ror stories of how they slid all the way to the GO, hoping they wouldn't meet anyone on the way in case they couldn't stop their carin time. I left our house on Casimir Street at five this morning, met a salt truck as I was backing out of the driveway and crossed my fingers, hoping I'd make it OK tothe Whitby GO. Well... THREE CHEERS FOR THE ROADS DEPT.....the drive on Hwy. 7A to Hwy. 12 went well, and down Hwy. 121t was sloppy, but nothing to be concerned about. My biggest problem was the fog around Myrtle. Again, many thanks for keep- ing the roads in good condition so we can make it to the GO each working day without any trouble.
