Lelfters to the editor | Correspondent airs frustration To the Editor: I am grateful for this opportu- nity to clear up some misunder- standings concerning my com- munity news column "Seagrave". I have been a correspondent of this column for many years and always find satisfaction in knowing our village loves to see our "news" in print! After sever- al comments and phone calls, I have been prompted to write now and explain to all that itis the Port Perry Star staff and not me that chooses what goes as the bold print headline of the column. Apparently, many thought that the first para- graph of last week's column re- garding congratulations on a girl achieving a perfect 100 per cent score on a music exam (an achievement to be lifelong proud of) would take prece- dence over "Happy birthday wishes extended". I have mentioned in the past that perhaps I could suggest two or three appropriate head- lines for the column. I would ac- cept the responsibility and therefore any complaints.
