Rory helped out with an assist. Sara Landry kicked in an early goal for the Kids, Jamie Cruickshank showed good positional play on defence, and Justin Young showed enthusiasm at all posi- tions. Laurentian Bank came back from a 4-1 deficit to just edge out the Royal Canadian Legion in the last minutes of the game to take a 5-4 win. For the Bank- ers, Jason Salini showed good skills. Ryan Samis was solid in net with good defence by David Low and Kyle Passmore. Luke Pither scored the first two for the Legion. Roman Vigliotti and Brett Pope each notched one. Haugen's Chicks had another great game on June 15, defeat- ing Port Perry Printing by a 6-1 margin. Scott Partington was the M.V.P. with five goals, as- sisted by Tommy Whiteway and Kim Rankin. Shayne Taylor kicked in one and both Neil Har- ris and Cassandra Elliot showed tremendous improve- ment in their play. Under Seven Results Brian's Towing continued their winning season against Lake Scugog Lumber. Mike Wallace had a huge game with four goals, and the team was helped by strong defensive play from Keith Steele, Ilan Wick and Britini Smith. Caylie Gilmore and Stewart Medford kept the lumberkids in the game with a goal each. Kyle Paige, Shanalyn Robinson and Phillip Rudkin also contributed a fine effort. Komputer Klinic defeated the Port Perry Lions 7-5 for their first win of the season. Johna- than Hamelinck led the way with four goals. Also scoring were Jeff Rankin with two and Alexandra Moffat with one. Sol- id efforts were turned in by Spencer Marlow and Amy Ren- sink. The Lions kept things close with goals from Darren DeKoning (two, Michael Wilson (two), and Matt Robinson. Under Nine Results Joe's Pizzeria sweated their way to a 7-0 victory against Tim's Renovations to remain undefeated. Five goals were scored by Pat Lewis and Ryan Hamelinck potted two - one of which took several attempts, which proved perseverance pays off. Adam Bull and Luke Doupe-Smith played great de- fence. Honorable mention goes to Jessica Wood and Cindy Ho- ward for Tim's. Reach Park Motors picked up their first win of the season with a big 7-1 score against Rag- lan Welding. Matthew Charron and Michael Armstrong each potted two, and Grant Ranieri, Richard Tracey and Matthew Hertzberg all added to the lead. Tyler Weisflock ruined the shutout and Marie Gedge played hard all game for Rag- an. Cottrell's Cuspids handled Burketon with a 4-1 win. Two goals were scored by Kyle Geer, one by Trevor Chandler and one by Adam Smart. Kristie Ashton had a terrific first half, and Adam Farnley provided good coverage throughout the game. Willowtree Farms just edged out Antrim House for their first win of the season, 4-1. Daniel Bois got the hat trick, and Blake Cunningham added one. Goals for the pub were scored by Kyle Mullins, Aaron Bray and Jeff Tomchesk. Air Durham and Manvers played to an exciting 3-3 draw. Derek Goreski got all three for Air Durham, with help from good throw-ins by Katie Callery, and good defence from Amanda Hockley. Brandon Spearing notched two for Man- vers and Gary Cafik kicked in one. Under11Results The Legal Eagles fell to Green Apple Cabinets, thanks to goals by Mark Duncan, Clay- ton Gilmore and Nicholas Mur- phy, with assists by Megan Pat- ry and Ryan May. Michael Mercier provided excellent goal- tending to hold the Eagles to only one goal, on a mighty kick from Wesley Langmaid. De- spite the loss, Billy Britt made many outstanding saves. Mark Kusso an- swered with one for Manvers. Youth girls Herbally Yours hosted South Port Gardens on Thursday, June 16 which was a very hot humid night. The girls played a very well fought game with both teams pretty evenly matched. Jennifer Hancock started Herbally Yours with a two base run. Holly Stone had a great hit getting our first two runners over home plate. In the last in- ning Lynda Brooks caught a fantastic fly. Tanya Wilson of South Port Gardens pitched a great game. She also made some good outs with Laura Hooker at first base. The star was Hilary Nolan hit- ting the first home run in the last inning which clinched the game for South Port Gardens winning 13-8. Tyke baseball Towne Fireplace was the home team versus Power Work- ers Union on the hottest night of the year last Thursday, June 16. The fans were treated to a see-saw battle as Towne came back scoring runs in the bottom of every inning to earn a 13 ali tie at games end. Unfortunately, these games are allowed to end in a tie (sister kisser) since there is school work the next day. Geoff Simpson, Stephen Se- nyk, Jamie Smith, and Jeremy Stephenson led the Power Workers completing two cir- cuits each. Ryan Hockley, Jason Johansen, Bradley Giannini, and Jesse Bennett all scored runs and contributed strong fielding for the Fireplace squad.
